Usage Instructions
Fill the processor finishing section with RC 510 as described in the processor instructions manual.
Adjust feed level to achieve optimum coverage. If the gum quantity is too low or too thin, this can lead to insufficient protection.
Too much gum, on the other hand, can lead to slow ink acceptance or blindness on the press. If the plates are not baked and are to be run on the press within a few days, and if RC 510 is being used in place of a finishing gum, no special post-treatment is required.
If the plates are baked and / or there is a delay of more than 7 days before the plates are run on the press, first wash out and refinish with diluted RC 795 or Unifin.
This is a must to prevent tinting and / or poor clean-up on the press.
Storage

The gumming solution should be changed whenever the developer is changed.
Cleaning
:
The gumming station requires daily maintenance.Traces of gum on the rollers must be removed from the rollers using warm water and a soft lint-free cloth.If it is not done the rollers can potentially stick together or the gum will leave marks on the plates. In the worst case, it can cause faulty interpretation by the plate scanner and localized areas of slow ink acceptance. Insufficient cleaning can also lead to growth of algae / bacteria.

Protect from direct sunlight.Store at temperatures below 30° C in a dry, well-ventilated area. Keep the containers tightly closed. The use of gloves is recommended.

Precautions
:
All gums tend to become thicker with time due to evaporation. Adding water will resolve this. Specific gravity of undiluted solution should be within the range of 1.038 to 1.046 at 20° C. If the gum becomes too thin, water may be dragged into the gumming station from the rinsing station.
